Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Bolton
Salary: Upto 50k DOE
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking manufacturing business specialising in bespoke solutions for the packaging and production sector.
This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in the complete design process — from concept through to production — creating innovative, efficient, and cost-effective mechanical designs that deliver real results.
Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
*
Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications
*
Collaborate with production and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery
*
Identify and resolve design challenges with practical solutions
*
Manage design projects independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
*
Proficiency in CAD design (preferably Autodesk Inventor)
*
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
*
Ability to manage projects from concept to completion
*
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
*
Self-motivated, with a proactive and professional approach
Desirable:
*
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
*
Experience working with conveyors, machinery, or food/beverage packaging equipment
*
Background in a small to medium-sized engineering environment
