Mechanical Design Engineer

The Company

NW Total Engineered Solutions Ltd. is a specialist manufacturing and engineering company focused on delivering high-quality process equipment packages. Our facility is equipped with a broad range of core capabilities, enabling us to manufacture and rigorously test a diverse array of equipment.

We have particular expertise in pipe welding and mechanical fitting, which are central to the projects we undertake. Additionally, we offer in-house Level 2 weld inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability across all our work.

Hours of Work

37.5 hours, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-12pm

Salary

£35,000 - £45,000 per annum

What You’ll Do

  * Develop robust, compliant design solutions from client specifications and national standards.

  * Create detailed 3D CAD models (Inventor or SolidWorks) and 2D manufacturing drawings (AutoCAD).

  * Produce and verify design calculations to ensure accuracy and safety.

  * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including projects, production, and supply chain.

  * Apply lessons learned and continuously improve design processes.

  * Support project delivery within budget, quality, and time targets.

What We’re Looking For

  * Degree in Engineering or similar discipline.

  * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Microsoft Excel.

  * Strong mechanical design knowledge (experience with pressure systems, pumps, and pipework is a plus).

  * Logical, analytical, and innovative problem-solving skills.

  * Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
