Position: Design Engineer
Role: Senior Design Engineer
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, innovative, and commercially competitive designs for food industry manufacturing solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Creating 3D parts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawing packs in SolidWorks.
Developing BOMs, laser profiles, works orders, and other manufacturing documentation.
Conducting Design Risk Assessments and creating 2D drawings in AutoCAD.
Producing 3D block layouts from 2D data and site measurements.
Reviewing and collaborating on designs within the team.
Liaising with customers and suppliers for design approval and material sourcing.
Ensuring adherence to design standards and promoting a Right First-Time culture.
Coordinating with project engineers, manufacturing, installation, and QHS teams to capture changes and maintain quality standards.
Monitoring design budgets and reporting issues to management.
Signing off on project design stages.
Candidate Profile:
Strong engineering qualification with proven design engineering experience.
Expertise in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D.
Experience in fabrication and food processing manufacturing environments.
Professional, solution-focused communicator with a methodical approach.
Customer-oriented with strong leadership qualities.
