Job Description
A global leader in power conversion is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Naval Equipment Design Team in Glasgow. You’ll be at the heart of designing advanced electrical drives and power distribution systems for naval and marine applications. Are you looking for your next contract?
Contract: 12 Months with possibility of extension (inside IR35)
Key Responsibilities:

Develop 3D models and 2D drawings (PTC Creo) and manage BOMs (Teamcenter)
*
Apply DFMA principles to optimise design and manufacturability
*
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full product lifecycle
*
Act as the mechanical lead on assigned projects
Requirements:
*
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
*
Proven mechanical design experience in industrial/electrical equipment
*
Proficient in PTC Creo and PLM tools (e.g. Teamcenter)
*
Sole UK national, eligible for SC clearance
Desirable:
*
Experience in naval/MoD projects
*
Familiarity with power electronics or fluid handling systems
