Mechanical Design Engineer | Bellshill | Full Time (Part Time Considered) | £40,000–£55,000 DOE
Howden Electric is an independent company with over 65 years of experience in designing and manufacturing quality electric heating equipment within an ISO 9001 environment. With more than 30 product ranges, we are known for driving innovation and providing flexible solutions to meet customer needs across the UK and internationally.
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our technical team in Bellshill.

Drive to see projects through to successful completion
What will your role look like?
You will join Howden Electric’s friendly, innovative technical team, contributing to a range of exciting projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing manufacturing specifications, drawings, part lists, purchasing, and documentation for live orders
Monitoring progress through manufacture, testing, and sign-off
Implementing product modifications and developing new product designs, including drawings, specifications, part lists, technical documentation, costings, and manufacturing instructions
Leading projects involving R&D, manufacturing process improvements, and material sourcing
Responding to customer queries and preparing quotations
What can you expect in return?
Competitive salary: £40,000–£55,000 DOE
Annual profit-related bonus
33 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
