* £50,000 - £55,000 as an approx. guide
This is a highly varied mechanical design engineer jobs role, You will be 50% to 60% CAD / design engineering and then 50% of your time will be looking at how to improve the business with mechanical design, design for manufacture, setting mechanical design standards etc. If you are ambitious/want to elevate to a senior mechanical engineer jobs role then this would be well suited for you.
