The Opportunity
Join a leading engineering consultancy working on complex, safety-critical projects within the defence sector. This is a 12-month contract based on a hybrid model, supporting operations and future programmes across key UK sites.

This role would suit candidates working in these roles
Mechanical Design Engineer, Plant Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Nuclear Engineer, Project Engineer, Rotating Equipment Engineer, Systems Engineer, Technical Assessor, or Safety Case Engineer.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Develop, review, and maintain design substantiation documents for nuclear infrastructure.
Manage design changes and concessions, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements.
Prepare and present technical justifications to internal safety committees.
Produce and assess maintenance schedules, operating procedures, and inspection results.
Provide technical advice and peer reviews for internal teams and external contractors.You will have the following qualifications and experience
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with knowledge of industrial plant and machinery (e.g., pumps, generators).
Strong understanding of British and European design standards and practices.
Ability to produce robust technical justifications for design modifications in high-hazard environments.
Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects within industrial or maritime sectors.
Minimum HNC in a relevant discipline; Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience.Get in touch now
