Job Description
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established food production company based in Golborne, for a Multiskilled Mechanical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, fast-paced factory environment operating in chilled conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on production machinery
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns
* Minimise downtime and support continuous production efficiency
* Maintain safety and hygiene standards in line with food industry regulations
* Complete accurate documentation and maintenance records
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering
* Comfortable working in a chilled food production environment
* Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
Desirable:
* Previous management or team-leading experience
* Recognised engineering qualifications or certificates (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, City & Guilds)
* Familiarity with the food manufacturing sector is a plus
