Mechanical Engineer, Temp to Perm, Prestwick or Irvine, £19.50/hr, 40 hrs/week
Join a leading manufacturing environment as a skilled Maintenance Engineer. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a rotating shift pattern with overtime pay, working on essential equipment maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.
Benefits:
* Competitive pay rate: £19.50 per hour
* Temp-to-perm role with a 13-week initial contract
* Standard 40-hour work week with a 1-week rotating shift pattern
* Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and inspection of manufacturing equipment
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
* Support the Engineering Manager in ensuring smooth plant operations
* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineer in FMCG, automated, or manufacturing sectors
* Qualified with Mechanical and/or Electrical NVQ or equivalent certification
