Mechanical Engineer, Temp to Perm, Prestwick or Irvine, £23.50/hr + OT paid at 1.5x,40 hrs/week
Join a leading manufacturing environment as a skilled Maintenance Engineer. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a rotating shift pattern with overtime pay, working on essential equipment maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.
Engineer’s Benefits:
* Competitive pay: £23.50 per hour
* Temp-to-perm role with an initial 13-week contract
* Standard 40-hour workweek with a 1-week rotating shift pattern
* Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate
* Work in modern facilities based in Prestwick or Irvine
Engineer’s Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on manufacturing equipment
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
* Assist Engineering Manager to maintain smooth plant operations
* Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineer in FMCG, automated, or manufacturing environments
* Qualified with Mechanical and/or Electrical NVQ or equivalent certification
