Brownlee Cale are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our client in the water industry in Cumbria. You’ll be responsible for the design, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical systems across water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and pipelines.
What You’ll Do
*
Design and review pumps, valves, pipelines, and treatment plant equipment.
*
Support installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of assets.
*
Work with project teams to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions.
*
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical support on-site.
*
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
What We’re Looking For
*
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
*
Experience in the water industry or similar engineering environment.
*
Strong knowledge of pumps, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems.
*
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
*
Able to work independently and within a team.
