Mechanical Engineer – Chemicals – North West – Up to £60,000 + Bonus
A speciality chemical manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support safe and efficient operations at a top-tier COMAH site. This role involves managing mechanical projects, maintenance strategies, and engineering design while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead mechanical projects and provide technical support
* Develop maintenance strategies and troubleshoot issues
* Participate in HAZOPs and ensure regulatory compliance (PUWER, LOLER, PED)
* Support plant operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* 5–10 years’ experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or petrochemical industries
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and safety standards
