Mech Tech Professionals have a full-time opportunity available for an experienced Mechanical Engineer - Team Lead to work at an Energy from Waste Facility based in Gloucestershire.
Our client, one of the UK's most prestigious Waste and resource management companies, requires an experienced professional to start with them immediately or upon availability.

This is a permanent position, working 5 days per week (Monday to Friday).
40 hours per week, 07:30 - 16:00.
Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineer Team Lead, you will be responsible for the maintenance and performance of all mechanical plant at an Energy from Waste site based in Gloucester. The role will include ensuring compliance with pressure regulations and lifting gear is adhered to at all times.
Whilst acting as the site’s technical lead, the Mechanical Engineer will make sure that systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently, and safely.
Main responsibilities will include:
* Ensure mechanical equipment is correctly operated, maintained, and tested - maximising efficiency
* Lead all aspects of mechanical maintenance at the EfW facility
* Lead and manage the mechanical maintenance team on site
* Monitor the condition of rotating plant using modern techniques
* Maintain and test all safety devices in line with the client & site regulations
* Coordinate and plan maintenance activities, including shutdowns and preventative maintenance needs
* Manage statutory inspections and maintain accurate documentation
* Control scaffolding in accordance with regulations
* Recommend plant spares holdings and work within budget
* Investigate and rectify plant or equipment faults promptly
Candidate requirements:
* Strong maintenance experience in the power generation sector (Energy from Waste, CCGT, Oil, Coal, Biomass, or Royal Navy engineer background) - essential
* Strong knowledge of H&S legislation, facility consents, and safety rules
* Proven leadership in dynamic environments
* Proven experience of working in a similar capacity/relevant fieldBefore You Apply
