Job Description

Conrad Consulting are looking for a Mechanical Estimator with 1–2 years' experience to join a well-established and growing building services contractor. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role of the Mechanical Estimator:

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of mechanical building services projects. Working closely with senior estimators, project managers, suppliers, and clients, you'll play a key role in securing new business and supporting successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Estimator:

Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and tender submissions.
	
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
	
Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
	
Produce accurate take-offs and cost plans.
	
Assist with value engineering and alternative proposals.
	
Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers.
	
Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Requirements of the Mechanical Estimator:

1–2 years' experience in a Mechanical Estimator role within the building services or M&E sector.
	
Good understanding of mechanical building services installations.
	
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
	
Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
	
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is advantageous.
	
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
