£55,000 - £65,000 Basic + Job Security + Strong order books + Established team + Package
A long-established building services contractor in West Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join its pre-construction team. The role involves preparing mechanical tenders, cost plans, and proposals for projects across commercial, residential, education, retail, and defence sectors. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and public health systems, along with the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, is essential.
The ideal candidate will have proven M&E estimating experience, commercial awareness, and proficiency in estimating software. Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and tender submissions
* Review specifications, drawings, and project documents to ensure full scope coverage
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
* Collaborate with internal design, electrical, and project delivery teams
* Support value engineering initiatives and client presentations
Experience & Skills
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within a building services or M&E contractor environment
* Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and public health systems
* Commercial awareness with attention to detail and deadlines
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office packages
