Bradford

A rapidly growing contractor are now expanding their M&E division and are hiring for a Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in commercial and fit-out projects. This well-established contractor offers a unique turnkey service to their clients and continue to secure major projects with a strong order book. They now need an experienced Mechanical Estimator to prepare detailed costings, review designs, and manage tender processes for projects across the Midlands and North regions, from Nottingham up to the north region. Your role as a mechanical estimator will include:

*Produce accurate cost estimates for mechanical installations across commercial and fit-out projects, including HVAC, plumbing and associated building-services systems

*Review project drawings, technical specifications and client requirements to determine material, labour and subcontractor costs, identifying potential risks and value engineering opportunities.

*Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing, maintain up-to-date cost databases and prepare competitive, compliant tender submissions. Ensure estimates align with project budgets and profitability targets.

*Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate cost input for project programmes, contribute to bid strategies, and maintain strong client-facing professionalism while ensuring financial and technical accuracy.

As a Mechanical estimator you will need:

*Strong background estimating for high value projects specifically for HVAC systems

*Commutable to the office and able to travel to sites and client meetings if and when required

*Strong understanding of mechanical and building service systems for commercial and retail projects
