Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Welding & Fabrication capabilities for a full-time permanent position on behalf of our client based in Scunthorpe.
Package: £40k BASIC + OVERTIME (1.5X) + COMPANY SICK PAY
THIS POSITION HAS HIGH EARNINGS POTENTIAL FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE’S.
Schedule: Monday – Friday / 7:00 – 15:00 (NEGOTIABLE WORKING HOURS)
This position will entail Mechanical maintenance on a variety of food production machinery and also welding and fabrication of components out of Mild steel and or stainless steel (MIG & or TIG).
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical background, with previous experience of welding & fabrication and maintaining machinery.
Specific machinery training/familiarisation shall be provided.

The role will be based within a food manufacturing facility maintaining a variety of food production machinery.
About You:
* Skilled in both Mechanical and fabrication and welding.
* Continuous experience with manufacturing machinery or industrial machinery.
* A good working knowledge of process and packaging equipment would be beneficial but not essential.
* Demonstrable knowledge of safe-working practices and Continuous Improvement culture.
* Proactive and forward-thinking mind-set.
* Hydraulic and or Pneumatic experience would be beneficial but not mandatory.
