Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter Assembler.
Job title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Rochester – with UK and international travel
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 pa depending on skill level + overtime
Hours: 39 hours per week, 45 minute break
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm
Friday 8am to 2pm
Benefits: Mechanical Fitter Assembler
Annual leave – 22 days in year one, rising to 25 days pa in year 2, overtime and travel payments, contributory pension, uniform, free parking
The Mechanical Fitter role is mainly workshop based working as part of a small team building new machinery.
Skills Required: Mechanical Fitter Assembler
* Mechanical assembly – excellent attention to detail
* Read technical drawings
* Manual milling / turning – able to manufacture simple jigs
* Electrical knowledge desirable, not essential
The role will involve assisting in assembling, servicing, dismantling, moving machinery in the UK and abroad (Europe, Philippines, Malaysia, India etc).
Usual travel is typically for no more than a week at a time approximately 5 times a year
Candidates must be free to travel to all countries without restrictions, UK car driver essentialBefore You Apply
