This long established and growing manufacturing and distribution business has a turnover of £5m+ in the UK, and forms part of a global group of companies, however, continues to operate as a small family run entity within Stoke on Trent.
As the Mechanical Fitter you will be assembling and testing the businesses range of single-pump air-driven hydraulic systems, and other more complex pump-based hydraulic systems.
If you are skilled bench fitter/engineer in pump maintenance and hydraulic systems, then this is the role for you.
Even better this opportunity is days based, working Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times. Overtime may also be available for evenings and weekends as needed.
The business offers benefits including 27 days holiday + bank holidays, flexible working start times and an optional employee share purchase scheme and share bonus retention scheme after a qualifying period, and assured annual salary review every March!
What we need from you?
* Ideally, you will be a fully time-served individual with an Engineering qualification.
* Working knowledge, understanding and experience of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
* Ability to work with and conversant with engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.
* Capability of using both bench hand tools and electric/pneumatic tools such as drills.
* Some machining experience (conventional lathes) is desirable but not essential.
* Capable of working in a small hardworking team to support and meet the needs of the business.
* Able to operate in an open, friendly, and supportive culture.
