Location: Leicestershire
Mechanical Fitters required for an engineering & manufacturing company based in Leicestershire.
As a Mechanical Fitter, you must have a strong background within mechanical assembly, precision fitting. You must be able to read and understand schematics. Previous experience of bench assembly & fitting. Ability to build machine sub-assemblies following engineering drawings & schematics.
Role & Responsibilities:
Build new machinery from start to finish
Build & put together machine sub-assemblies
Precision assembly & fitting
Detail precision fitting
You will be working with bearings, shafts, gear boxes
Motor and gearbox fitting
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, basic machine shop machinery (e.g. lathe, miller, pedestal drill, grinder)
Ability to use measuring equipment (verniers, slip gauges, micrometers, etc)
Ability to work to tight very tight tolerances
Knowledge of pneumatics is essential
Must be able to read engineering drawings and schematicsQualifications:
Engineering Apprenticeship
