Mechanical Fitter
Sutton
£32k per year
Permanent opportunity
This maintenance and mechanical position involves undertaking scheduled servicing and ad hoc repairs on a varied fleet of machinery and equipment used to deliver grounds maintenance services.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4pm.
This position would suit someone with great diagnostic skills who is knowledgeable in vehicle and machine mechanics and who may be looking to move away from a busy commercial garage in preference for something a little quieter and less chaotic.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Servicing and repairing petrol mowers, strimmers and blowers
* Working on John Deere ride-on mowers and tractors
* Organising service schedules on grounds maintenance equipment
* Manage your workshop’s stock levels and paperwork
* Meet with Contract Management team to discuss and oversee all servicing and repairs on tools, equipment and some agricultural vehicles
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven mechanical knowledge
* Full, manual driving licence
* Electrical knowledge to undertake basic work on 12v electrical systems
* Good team player and willingness to learn
* The ability to work with very little supervision
* Self-motivated
