Salary: £30,000 - £33,000We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our client's team in Gateshead. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background and a passion for precision engineering. You will be involved in assembling a wide range of mechanical components and systems, supporting both production and service teams.
Day-to-day of the role:
Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and schematics.
Assemble small and large sub-assemblies with precision and care.
Build complete products from kits of parts, ensuring quality and functionality.
Provide technical support to service teams.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with Health & Safety standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Time-served Mechanical Fitter.
Strong technical ability and mechanical aptitude.
Proven experience working with engineering drawings and mechanical builds.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Team player with a proactive and flexible approach.
