Job Description
Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in industrial gearbox rebuilds?
Do you want to work on projects ranging from 150kg gearboxes to heavy-duty 10-tonne units, across some of the UK’s most dynamic industries?
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a respected precision engineering business with long-term contracts and excellent career prospects.
The Role:

Strip down, service, and rebuild a wide range of industrial gearboxes including:
*
Helical
*
Worm
*
Bevel Helical
*
Spur
*
Work on varied projects in sectors such as:
*
Steelworks, Oil & Gas, Distilleries
*
Chemical Plants, Wind Energy, Water Treatment
*
Quarries & Brickworks
What’s On Offer:
*
Basic Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
*
Overtime & Weekend Work at enhanced rates – plenty available if you want to earn more
*
31 days holiday (including bank holidays)
*

About You:
*
At least 4 years’ experience in mechanical fitting and gearbox rebuilds (essential)
*
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanics
*
Full UK driving licence preferred
*
Strong hands-on engineering skills and a proactive approach
Work Schedule:
*
Standard 8-hour shifts
*
Overtime & weekend availability
