Job Description
Job Summary as a Mechanical fitter you will be reporting to the Production Manager, duties to include preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as well as responding to emergency machine break downs throughout the plant. The role as Mechanical Fitter will be to overhaul and repair of machines and equipment on site ensuring that they are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Fitters role:
Preventative & reactive maintenance of all manufacturing machinery
Overhaul, upkeep and repair of all mechanical & pneumatic machinery, fault finding, testing, removal and/or adjustments of existing fixtures & fittings
As a Mechanical Fitter you will undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard Produce & maintain jigs & fixtures to engineering drawings
As a Mechanical fitter you will be ensuring good relations and communications with all members of the team and providing excellent customer care in an efficient manner.
As a mechanical fitter you will need to have good reliability & dependability essential with adaptability to a fast paced production environment.
Time management and communication skills essential, ability to work on own incentive, log work and report any issues to Production Manager.
For the Mechanical Fitter role you will have to be time served in repair and maintenance, knowledge of Pneumatics, Hydraulics, conveyors.
Experience and working knowledge of air tools, compressors, electrical (tools & equipment)
The Mechanical Fitters role will be starting at £45k per year to be reviewed after 3 months.
Monday to Friday
Hours: 7am to 5pm
Qualifications/Experience:
Time served/min 2 years’ knowledge experience in manufacturing environment.
