Mechanical Fitter
Salary: Basic up to £35,209 plus Benefits
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
A leading industrial service provider is currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their organisation in the Norwich area. As a Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for carrying out repairs to all types of industrial equipment including AC & DC Motors, Gearboxes, Pumps, Fan Units and other associated rotating equipment. 80% of you work will take place in the workshop and the rest of the time you will be visiting client sites in the local area.
Skills required for a Mechanical Fitter:
Have a sound mechanical engineering knowledge and be able to identify and rectify faulty, worn or damaged components.
Full understanding of pumps, motors, gearboxes, testing and inspection, fault-find, strip and dismantle.
Be flexible to work within the workshop and at customer sites.
It would be advantageous for the Mechanical Fitter to have basic electrical testing capability.
Flexible and prepared to work the hours required in a demanding service orientated environment.
Good awareness of health & safety standards.
Happy to work on both a individual and team basis.
