We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Mechanical Fitter / Machinist who will play a crucial role in assembling, fitting and machining of electrical test machines.
The role requires a hands-on approach, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and precision.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on teamwork and problem-solving, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and close-knit team.
In addition to this, as our Mechanical Fitter / Machinist you will be responsible for:
* Assembling and fitting mechanical components and sub-assemblies for Robotic test machines.
* Manufacturing parts using milling machines and lathes along with other general workshop equipment to ensure product quality and precision.
* Interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions to ensure components are correctly fitted.
* Maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
* Collaborating with other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve machine performance.
* Carrying out a multitude of assembly and fitting procedures with good dexterity as we have several assemblies that are quite small and precise.
* Assisting in machine upgrades, modifications, and customizations as required.
In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:
* A qualified machinist/fitter with hands-on experience in mechanical fitting and assembly.
* Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and assembly processes.
* Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and standard fitting techniques.
* Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
* Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., assembly or mechanical fitting) within a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly desirable.
* Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in an evolving industry.
