Mechanical Inspector
Job Location: Poole, Dorset
Job Type: Contract - Ongoing
Salary:
PAYE: Up to £16.83 per hour / £673.20 per week
LTD: Up to £21.00 per hour / £840 per week
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm & Friday 8am – 2.30pm
A well-established manufacturer based in Poole are looking to recruit for a Mechanical Inspector on a contract.
Duties will include;
* Inspecting of first offs & finished products to engineering drawings
* Create & logging of NCR
* Producing and filling of inspection reports
* Overseeing the Junior Inspector to ensure day to day tasks are completed, provide any support & training
The successful candidate will possess;
* Previous experience of mechanical inspection
* Experience of using measuring equipment including bore-mikes, thread gauges, shadow graph, tali-surf, tri-mos, micrometres, height gauges.
* A background of working to tight tolerances (tightest tolerance is 1000 of an inch plus or minus)
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
* Ability to read and work from complex manufacturing drawings
