Job Description
Mechanical Quality Inspector - Inspection opportunity with this successful and fast expanding sheet metal section of this wonderful business. You will check sheet metal, fabricated and welded assemblies against engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed mechanical inspections of sheet metal components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Review and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to verify product dimensions.
Perform quality inspections during the production process to adhere to industry standards and customer requirements.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarise rework and waste; input production data into quality databases.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment for accuracy and reliability.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.Qualifications:
Proven experience around sheet metal work and quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and engineering blueprints.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
Familiarity with various quality inspection tools and equipment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
