Socode are proud to be partnering with a pioneering energy technology company developing next-generation materials for high-performance energy storage – enabling a cleaner, more sustainable future.
What will I be doing?
You’ll be involved in the assembly, testing, and development of electrochemical cells – supporting material preparation, running defined test protocols, and maintaining lab standards.
Key responsibilities:
Assemble and test electrochemical cells and cell stacks
Prepare lab materials (e.g. membranes, electrolytes – training provided)
Operate battery/cell test equipment
Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement
Manage lab stock, equipment calibration, and general upkeepWe’re looking for:
Level 3 qualification (A-Level, NVQ, BTEC) in a science/engineering field, or 5+ years’ lab experience
Practical experience in engineering, electronics, or R&D labs
Methodical, safety-first approach with strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn and contribute to a small, agile team
Familiarity with 5S or wet chemistry is a bonus, but not essentialInterested?
