Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Welton, Carlisle

Salary: £43,900

Shifts: Monday - Friday (Rotating)

06:00 - 14:00
08:00 - 16:00
14:00 - 22:00Stafforce are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Carlisle. Working as part of a small maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site equipment to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
Fault finding and repair of production equipment
Supporting preventative maintenance programmes
Basic welding and fabrication work
Assisting with installation and modification of machinery
Completing maintenance documentation and reportsRequirements:

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent apprenticeship)
Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Welding/fabrication experience beneficialThis is a great opportunity to join a stable manufacturing environment with a supportive engineering team and a consistent Monday-Friday shift pattern.
