Job Description
Position : Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Fitter
Location : Sheffield
Shifts : Monday to Friday days (early finish Friday) - some flexi-time available
Overtime : Regularly available
Sector : Metals manufacturing, engineering
The Role :
· Reactive and preventative maintenance of a range of production machinery including machine tools, CNC equipment, lathes, milling machines, grinders, heat treatment
· Upkeep of the CMMS
· Ensuring an adequate supply of spare parts
· Project work - machine movement / calibration / installation, continuous improvement projects
· Maintenance of tooling
· Oversee work of third part sub-contractors
About you :
· Time served / qualified to HNC level in an engineering subject, mechanical engineering preferred
· Proven experience of working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter
· Experience of the repair / service / maintenance of machine tools
· Competent with hydraulics
· Team player
· Focused on Health and Safety - IOSH certified preferred but not essential
