Salary & Benefits
A salary of up to £42,000 (dependent on experience)
Pension (matched up to 6%).

Overtime potential for during regular shutdown periodsWhat you will be doing as the Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Restoring and overhauling equipment
Focusing on long-term preventive measures and operational efficiency
Assisting with breakdowns as needed
Entering completed work and any follow-up tasks into the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
Completing basic machining tasks (lathes, drills, grinding, milling, etc.)
Carrying out daily inspections and routine checks
Monitoring site services
Completing handovers
Supporting the engineering spares and stores function
Following health and safety policies and proceduresWhat you will need to apply for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician position
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a heavy industrial setting
A time-served apprenticeship
Strong technical knowledge, especially of gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and rotating equipment
Good workshop skills (lathes, drills, millers, grinders, etc.)
Experience using a computerised maintenance management system.Your working hours
You will work a day's rota of 8am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-2pm on Fridays.
