Job Opportunity: Mechanical Small Works Manager (Commercial - Circa £100k)
Location: Cambridge (within 45 minutes commute)
Salary: £55,000 + Bonus

Our client, a well-established and respected building services provider, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Small Works Manager to oversee and grow their portfolio of small-to-medium commercial mechanical projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of commercial mechanical service projects up to £100k.
Work collaboratively with the larger MEPH projects division to ensure seamless delivery and alignment.
Oversee labour allocation and ensure efficient deployment of resources.
Maintain strong Health & Safety, quality and environmental standards across all projects.
Lead quoting, design, procurement, and delivery of mechanical works.
Identify and secure new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships.
Provide exceptional customer service and act as a trusted representative on-site.
Support and contribute positively to the wider team environment.
Confidently survey and price plantrooms and associated systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong background in commercial mechanical building services.
Comfortable managing multiple concurrent small works projects.
Hands-on approach with the technical ability to assess, design, and price solutions.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Motivated, organised and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Based within a 45-minute commute of Cambridge.
