Job Description
Ivy Resource Group are currently recruiting for an Mechanical & Plumbing Estimator for one of the leading M&E contractors in the region, to join their company on a permanent basis in Gloucester.
The company:
Our client offers M&E installation, maintenance and design services in Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties. They operate across domestic, commercial and industrial sectors and are looking to hire an experienced Mechanical & Plumbing Estimator to accomodate their growth plans.
The role entails:
Managing tenders from inception to submission.
Dealing with project values of up to £1M
The ideal candidate must be able to understand and read through specifications and drawings provided.
The role shall include estimating projects from various different sectors including commercial, education, healthcare and industrial.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years construction estimating experience
Thorough and efficient supplier and subcontractor knowledge
Understanding of associated mechanical services
Knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and materials
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Good communication and negotiation skills
Professionally qualified preferably construction related or equivalent proven ability and experience in similar role
Proficient computer skills, with experience of Estimation software issuing / updating tender documents via an electronic control system
Benefits & salary
£50,000 + £5000 per year car allowance
Working for a company with a healthy order book and strong pipeline of works
