Mechanical Project Engineer (Rail) £55,000 - £60,000 + 33 Days Holiday + Career Development + Company Benefits + Potential for 1 Day WFH Derby Certain Advantage is hiring for a Mechanical Project Engineer based in Derby. This role is on a permanent basis and is primarily site-based, with some flexibility and client travel. Are you a Mechanical Project Engineer with rolling stock experience, looking to take ownership of high-profile rail projects from concept through to delivery? Do you want to join a rapidly growing rail services business, where you’ll lead technically challenging modification and refurbishment programmes, while managing a small design team and working closely with customers? The Company: We are working with a growing rail engineering services provider based in Derby, supporting passenger and freight operators across the UK. With an expanding pipeline of rolling stock modification and refurbishment programmes, the business is investing in its engineering capability and team. The Role: This role is for a Mechanical Project Engineer with rolling stock experience, leading projects across passenger and freight fleets. You will take ownership of technical delivery, manage a small team of design engineers, and act as a key interface between customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
