Project Manager (Mechanical Bias) – Leeds

Our client is one of the UK's leading M&E contractors with offices throughout the UK and a very healthy order book, they can offer a stable and exciting future career.

About the Role
We are seeking a mechanically biased Project Manager to lead the 'cradle to grave' delivery of a large-scale residential project in Leeds centre. You will take full ownership of the mechanical scope, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  * Lead delivery of mechanical services installation design through to commissioning

  * Manage programmes, budgets, risks, and resources across multi-disciplinary teams

  * Oversee mechanical design coordination, installation, and commissioning

  * Drive construction delivery, ensuring HSE compliance and industry best practice

  * Act as primary client interface, providing clear reporting on progress and risk

  * Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet programme and budget

  * Identify efficiencies to improve delivery and contract performance

About You

  * Proven track record delivering mechanical (building services) residential or commercial projects

  * Relevant mechanical qualification

  * Strong mechanical bias (e.g. HVAC, district heating, pipework, energy centres)

  * Experience leading site teams, subcontractors, and engineering functions

  * Good commercial and programme management awareness

  * Familiar with PM methodologies and project tools

  * Full UK driving licence
