Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the mechanical delivery of a new-build care home project. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable M&E contractor with a strong pipeline of healthcare and residential projects.
You’ll take ownership of the mechanical elements from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme delivery. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and public health services within a live site environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the mechanical installation for a new-build care home, including HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems
*
Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and the main contractor
*
Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract services
*
Monitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and budgets
*
Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards
*
Lead site meetings and technical reviews
*
Support commissioning and final handover process
*
Maintain strong client relationships and uphold company reputation on site
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on new build projects (care home or healthcare preferred)
*
Strong understanding of building services and mechanical systems
*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
*
Excellent communication and leadership skills
*
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (desirable)
*
Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent)Before You Apply
