Requirements for the role of Mechanical Pump and Drainage Engineer:
Relevant mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Experience in pump and drainage systems, including both reactive and planned maintenance.
Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
Ability to diagnose faults, problem-solve, and deliver effective solutions.
Capable of working independently, taking responsibility, and overcoming challenges on-site.
Strong communication skills with the ability to complete accurate service reports and logbooks.
Physically capable of manual work, including lifting and working in confined spaces.
Full UK driving licence.Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out reactive repairs and emergency callouts to pumps, pumping stations, and drainage systems.
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on pumps, drainage, and associated mechanical equipment.
Inspect, test, and service a range of pumping and drainage systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Fault-finding, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on-site.
Routine maintenance of valves, pipework, and drainage systems.
Cleaning, unblocking, and inspecting drainage networks.
Maintain detailed reports, logbooks, and compliance documentation.
