Job Description

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Mechanical Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation. We are looking for an Mechanical Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression. As the Mechanical Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services. The Mechanical Engineer, will be responsible for: * Perform routine and reactive maintenance on mechanical and plumbing systems, including boilers, pumps, pipework, valves, and associated equipment. * Install, repair, and service mechanical and plumbing components in accordance with specifications and technical drawings. * Identify and diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and work from technical manuals. * Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency. * Ensure all work complies with current health, safety, and environmental legislation. * Maintain accurate records of work completed, including inspections, repairs, and installations. * Assist in the planning and execution of planned maintenance schedules. * Work collaboratively with team members and liaise with clients to ensure customer satisfaction. * Support on-site commissioning and testing of mechanical and plumbing systems. * Expected to join a 1 in 4 call out rota. To be successful for this Mechanical Engineer role you must have: * NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or a Mechanical discipline. * Proven experience in mechanical and plumbing maintenance within commercial or industrial environments. * Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practices. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. * Familiarity with diagnostic and testing equipment. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Full UK driving license is preferred. * Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work and continuous improvement.
