Job Description
Mechanical Site Manager – London – 8 Months – £400/day – Immediate Start
We are partnering with a well-established M&E contractor seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to deliver a high-profile commercial fit out project in London.
This is a long-term contract offering stability, a dynamic project environment, and a competitive rate of £400 per day.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring mechanical works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and sequencing of mechanical installations.
Monitor progress against the programme and report regularly to the Project Director.
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, site diaries, and tool box talks.
Conduct site inductions and daily briefings for staff and subcontractors.
Assist in the procurement of materials and coordination of deliveries to site.
Act as a key liaison between the site team, client, and head office.
Support and shadow the Project Director with the aim of developing toward full project management responsibilities.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within the M&E sector.
Strong knowledge of mechanical services installation including HVAC, pipework, and plumbing systems.
Commercial fit out experience.
SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
CSCS card.
First Aid qualification.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors.
