Job Description
Mechanical Site Manager – North London – 6-Month Contract – Immediate Start
We are working with a well-established M&E contractor who is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to deliver a large residential project in North London.
This is a 6-month contract offering stability and the opportunity to work on a dynamic, fast-paced project.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring mechanical works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and sequencing of installations
Monitor progress against the programme and provide regular updates to the Project Director
Ensure all works are compliant with health & safety regulations and company procedures
Maintain accurate site records including progress reports, site diaries, and toolbox talks
Conduct site inductions and daily briefings for staff and subcontractors
Assist with procurement of materials and coordination of deliveries to site
Act as the key liaison between the site team, client, and head office
Support and shadow the Project Director, with the opportunity to develop towards full project management responsibilities
Requirements
Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within the M&E sector
Strong knowledge of mechanical services installation, including HVAC, pipework, and plumbing systems
Residential project experience
SMSTS certification
CSCS card
First Aid qualification
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors
