Job Description

The Client and Project Info:

My client is a leading M&E Contractor who are currently recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor to complete a long-term residential scheme in Kensington. The project involves high-spec luxury apartments, requiring strong leadership and a keen eye for quality.

Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities:

  * 

    Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager.

  * 

    Supervising and undertaking all mechanical installation works on a residential development.

  * 

    Managing and coordinating mechanical sub-contractors.

  * 

    Assessing the quality of work delivered by both the client’s labour and sub-contractors.

  * 

    Assisting the quality manager with all QA sign-offs and documentation.

  * 

    Identifying and resolving any technical or installation issues as they arise.

  * 

    Ensuring safe working practices are implemented and maintained at all times.

  * 

    Attending daily meetings with management, design teams and other trades.

  * 

    Delivering toolbox talks and site briefings.

  * 

    Arranging site inductions for new operatives.

  * 

    Driving productivity on site and pushing the project towards key milestones and completion.

Mechanical Supervisor Requirements:

  * 

    SSSTS or SMSTS.

  * 

    Previous experience on residential or high-end apartment schemes.

  * 

    Mechanical trade or Engineering qualification.

  * 

    10 years’ experience working for Mechanical Contractors.

  * 

    Strong experience in mechanical building services on large-scale projects.
