Job Description

Freelance Mechanical Supervisor – Residential Projects
We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical installations across residential properties. This role suits someone with strong experience in domestic heating systems and residential mechanical works, particularly within occupied homes.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervising mechanical installations within residential properties
• Overseeing domestic heating system installations and upgrades
• Managing installation of boilers, radiators, cylinders, pipework and associated systems
• Coordinating subcontractors and specialist installers
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
• Managing works within occupied properties while minimising disruption to residents
• Delivering toolbox talks and ensuring health & safety compliance
• Liaising with project managers, consultants and client representatives
• Monitoring quality, testing, commissioning and final handover
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on residential projects
• Strong knowledge of domestic heating systems and residential mechanical installations
• Experience working within occupied housing environments
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification
• CSCS Supervisor or Manager card
• Good understanding of site health & safety and compliance procedures
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
