Mechanical Technician – Field Service & Assembly
Location: Barcelona, Spain (with occasional travel across Spain – company vehicle provided)
Salary: €34,000 – €38,000 Package
Start Date: Immediate
A well-established and globally respected commercial printing machinery manufacturer based in Barcelona is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join its Engineering Department. The company is recognised for its commitment to innovation, quality, and service excellence within the printing and packaging machinery sector. The Role
As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll play a critical role in the full lifecycle of machinery assembly and service – from in-house build and testing to on-site client installations and maintenance. You’ll be responsible for:
Assembling and adjusting machinery and mechanical components.
Performing internal testing and fine-tuning of machines prior to shipment.
Installing and commissioning new machines at client sites.
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues during service visits.
Conducting both preventive and corrective maintenance on machines in the field.This is a hands-on position ideally suited to an experienced mechanical professional who enjoys a mix of workshop-based tasks and travel to customer sites.
About You
You’ll bring a solid mechanical engineering background with strong assembly and diagnostic skills. We’re looking for someone who is not only technically capable, but also professional, reliable, and motivated.
Key Requirements:
Technical qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent vocational training.
Minimum 6–10 years of experience in machinery assembly and mechanical servicing.
Strong mechanical problem-solving skills and hands-on technical expertise.
Team player with a meticulous, professional, and proactive approach.
Willingness and availability to travel within Spain (vehicle provided).
Proficient in Spanish; English at B1 level or above.Why Join?
