Job Description
Mechanical Technician / Fitter required in Stroud, Salary: £30,000 + Bonus Schemes + Overtime: Up to 15 hours/week at 1.5x salary, Working Hours: Mon–Thu: 07:30–16:30, Fri: 07:30–14:00 (early finish!) Standard: 40 hours per week contract, full time permanent placement.
Benefits:
Monthly Tool Allowance – £70 for full attendance
Production Bonus – £250+ per person for hitting team output target (5 trucks/month)
Pension: 3% employer / 5% employee
Death in Service: 2x salaryWe’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a leading name in the aerospace and mechanical engineering sector. What You’ll Do
Carry out sub-assembly fitting and final assembly of products to exacting standards.
Assemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic components.
Build fabricated assemblies from scratch using skills such as marking out, cutting, folding, pipe bending, weld joint prep, and hydraulic/pneumatic runs.
Work from detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
Perform quality checks to ensure alignment, accuracy, and finish.
Follow all Health & Safety policies and take responsibility for your own and others’ safety.
Support other production activities as required.
What We’re Looking For
Engineering background with proven experience in a hands-on fitting/assembly role.
Confident in interpreting technical drawings and instructions.
Skilled in using hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude.
Problem-solving mindset and practical technical knowledge.
Experience in vehicle fabrication/fitting an advantage.
Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical circuits desirable.
Background in Aviation, Military, Marine, or similar industries beneficial.Why Join Us?
