Job Description
Position: Mechanical Technician
Location: Nuneaton
Salary: Up to £37,000
Shift: Monday–Friday, 2pm–10pm
Benefits: 12% pension (6% employer matched), 4x death in service cover, 24 days holiday 1 day per year of service ( option to buy 5 more), career progression, development opportunities.
Mechanical Technician Overview:
Hands-on role operating and maintaining high-speed food manufacturing equipment (packaging lines, seasoning systems, conveyors, filling machines). Ensure smooth, efficient, and safe production with a strong focus on quality and performance.
Mechanical Technician Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor machinery to meet production targets and safety standards.
Troubleshoot technical issues to reduce downtime.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on equipment.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Training teams.
Suggest and implement process improvements.
Use digital tools (e.g., Redzone) to track production and report issues.
Mechanical Technician Experience & Skills:
Background in technical or mechanical engineering roles.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Good attention to detail and adaptability.
Confident communicator with basic computer literacy.
