What You'll Do:
As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Mechanical Department. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting general servicing for both passenger and commercial vehicles.
Handling tyre changing duties for a variety of vehicles.
Performing air conditioning services as needed.
utilising a range of tools and diagnostic equipment to carry out vehicle diagnostics, methodical fault tracing, and electrical testing.
Executing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) as required.
Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and road tests.
Carrying out repairs in line with approved methods to restore vehicles to their original condition.
Managing warranty repairs according to manufacturer standards.
Accurately documenting all work performed and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Preparing vehicles for final quality control, including stripping/refitting, panel repair, masking, priming, painting, and oven rectification.
Planning and organising your time effectively to meet set deadlines and achieve efficiency.
Assisting fellow technicians and contributing to the training of new team members.What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
An NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience.
A proactive and positive attitude, contributing fully to company initiatives and supporting its aims and ambitions.
A professional demeanour, with punctuality and courtesy at the forefront of your work ethic.
The ability to react calmly and effectively in unexpected situations and encourage beneficial changes.
