Job Description
NSG ENVIRONMENTAL LIMITED, a key player in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians to join their team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal to the success of various projects at the Aldermaston site, with the opportunity for significant overtime. While the initial contract is for 12 months, the project is expected to run until December 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing mechanical fitting and maintenance tasks
Collaborating with engineers and other technicians to ensure effective project execution
Conducting inspections and assessments of mechanical systems
Ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols
Participating in troubleshooting and repair work on mechanical systems
Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
Documenting maintenance activities and updating records
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team
Job Requirements:
Experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in Mechanical Engineering
Current SC or DV clearance (if only SC, must be eligible for DV and willing to undergo the process)
NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical-related area
Experience in the nuclear or defence sector
Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experience
Swagelok experience would be advantageous but not essential
