A friendly and inclusive SEN and SEMH school in Newbury is seeking a caring and proactive Mental Health Assistant to join their dedicated team. This full-time role is ideal for individuals who are eager to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with Autism, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other learning differences.
This Mental Health Assistant role is perfect for Psychology, Counselling, Education or Criminology graduates, or anyone looking to build a rewarding career in mental health support, therapy, teaching, or child development.

Role: Mental Health Assistant
Location: Newbury
Salary: £89-£100 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Ideal for: Psychology, Counselling & Criminology Graduates or those passionate about children's mental health
Experience: Beneficial but not essentialAs a Mental Health Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small-group emotional regulation support, help deliver therapeutic strategies, and work closely with teachers, SEN specialists, and mental health professionals. You will foster a nurturing, safe, and positive environment, focusing on promoting resilience, confidence, and healthy emotional development.
