Mental Health Assistant - Oxford £90 - £105 per day Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:00pm ASAP Are you looking to build a career in mental health or education? Do you want real, hands-on experience supporting children with complex emotional needs? We are currently recruiting for a Mental Health Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Oxford. This is an ideal opportunity for aspiring professionals in fields such as educational psychology, counselling, SEN teaching, or social work. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be supporting children dealing with trauma, anxiety, and behavioural difficulties, helping them develop strategies to succeed both in and out of the classroom. Your Role as a Mental Health Assistant: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs Implement behaviour and emotional regulation strategies Build trust and provide consistent emotional support Create a calm, safe, and structured learning environment The role of a Mental Health Assistant requires emotional resilience, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable young people.
